Calexico, taken from the American border town of the same name, perfectly defines this band. Calexico is a collective of musicians originally from Tucson (Arizona), led by Joey Burns (vocals and guitar) and John Convertino (drums). They have managed to forge their own eclectic identity thanks to their passion for exploring and fusing the different sounds of the world, highlighting the folk of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. A perfect mix between both countries, in a kind of modern spaghetti western with border airs.
